Celestia Ludenberg, also known by her birth name of Taeko Yasuhiro, is a character in Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc. She is a skilled gambler with a reputation to uphold. However, the player will realize that this reputation is built entirely on lies. Celestia is cunning and manipulative, and believes in survival of the fittest. She has stated that, should she be reborn, she wishes to be Marie Antoinette.
Although her true past is shrouded in mystery, there is some confirmed information about her. Celestia is suspected to have been born into a working class family in Japan. She was a gambler for about four years before attending Hope's Peak Academy. She also owns a cat named Grande Bois Cheris Ludenberg and loves him dearly.
Many of the details regarding Celestia's life are thought to be a result of her obsession with late European culture.
Celestia wears gothic lolita attire and pigtail hair extensions. She is very pale with red eyes. It's my suspicion that she may wear eye contacts, but this is headcanon. She also wears a claw like ring on her index finger. Celestia stands at roughly 5'5'' tall and was born on the 23rd of November.
In Trigger Happy Havoc, Celestia Ludenberg is the third character to be executed after being caught for the murder of Kiyotaka Ishimaru and Hifumi Yamada. Her execution is at first her being burnt at the stake, before it is interrupted as Monokuma crushes her to death with a fire truck. An unceremonious end for a woman who would have thrived off her end being a spectacle.
When interacting with men, Celestia will often give them an initial ranking that may improve upon further interaction. She very rarely gives out high rankings and is very strict. This is supposedly to decide who is worthy of being a servant. Though my personal interpretation, it is questionable whether she is interested in men and/or romance at all. Her priority appears to be towards her dream, which is to live in a mansion surrounded by vampire servants.
